Smart Image & Favicon Studio

Shrink a batch of PNG, JPEG, or WebP files and watch the savings update as you move the quality slider. Convert a single image between formats, or load a logo, frame the square crop you want, and download app icons at 16, 32, 180, 192, and 512 pixels. Decoding, resizing, and encoding all happen on your device.

Runs in your browser Canvas based No upload

Your images are never uploaded. Each file is decoded into a canvas inside this tab and re-encoded there, so photos and logos stay on your machine.

Bulk image compressor

Add as many images as you like. Every time you change a setting, each file is re-encoded so the size and the saving you would get stay honest.

PNG is lossless, so the quality slider does nothing to it. Switching a PNG to JPEG or WebP is what actually shrinks it.

Resizing is where most of the saving comes from. Keep it off when you must preserve the exact dimensions.

What each format is good at

Choosing a format

  • JPEG suits photographs. It drops transparency and can show soft edges around sharp shapes.
  • PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, which matters for logos and icons, but it stays large.
  • WebP is usually the smallest of the three and handles transparency. Support is broad on modern browsers, but older Safari and some email clients still refuse it.
  • Re-encoding is lossy. Setting quality too low twice in a row will show the damage, so keep your original files.
  • Only the settings from this studio are remembered: the format, quality, edge limit, zoom, and background colour.
